What is a Gallery Wrapped Print?

Similar to the way an artist will stretch a canvas over a wood frame, your photo is printed on canvas or paper and strecthed over a special fame designed for gallery wrapped prints.  The Gallery Wrapped Print creates a artistic appearance to your photos that does not need any additional framing and is ready to hang on the wall.

What is the difference between paper and canvas prints?  Why do you offer both?

The canvas allows the you to create an artistic appearance to your enlargement while also providing exceptional strength and durability.  Canvas provides a soft appearance that will hold up well in areas of high humidity.  Paper prints provide for a sharper reproduction.  While paper is not puncture or tear-resistant like canvas, it will hold its image very well for years.  Paper prints will typically retail for 20% less than canvas prints.

How long will the enlargement last?

We use only high quality HP Vivera pigment ink when reproducing your photos.  This ink is water resistant and guaranteed not to fade for 200 years when not kept in direct sunlight.

Do digital or original photos work best?

They both work great.  When supplying us with your digital photo, make sure your camera is set to the highest quality photo to ensure maximum resolution of your photo.  Not sure if you photo is good enough?  Send us your photo and we will let you know how big it can be enlarged before it becomes too distorted.  Your original photos are scanned in at 1200 dpi to ensure optimal results even for our largest enlargements.

Can I manipulate my own photos?

We welcome photos or art that you have created, manipulated, and/or adjusted with your own graphics software.  Please save your file to the highest possible resolution and save as either a .tiff or .jpeg file.

How do I send my photos to you?

There are two ways you can send your photos to us.  The first is by e-mail to bigphotos@centurytel.net.  The second is to send your original photos or digital photos on CD by mail to Make Your Photos Big, 6125 Cty Hwy, Tomah, WI 54660.  Your original photos will be returned to you with your completed order.

Does it have to be a photo I took?

It will be assumed that if you are sending MakeYourPhotosBig.com a photo for reproduction that you either originally took the photo, own rights to the photo, or that you have written permission from the person that has the rights to the photo.  MakeYourPhotosBig.com takes no responsibility for individuals who request reproduction of photos that they do not have rights to.  However, if you are a photographer and believe that a customer of MakeYourPhotosBig.com has reproduced a photo without proper permission, please contact us immediately so that we can prevent further reproductions from occurring.

How do I keep my photo clean and dust free?

Since gallery wrap prints are not covered by glass, we are often asked how to keep the prints clean and dust free.  While we do not recommend using any cleaners or solvents, our customers have had excellent success with the dry electrostatic cleaners such as the Dry Swiffer Wand.

Where is the best place to display my enlargement?

The canvas prints will hold up better in high humidity than the archival paper.  Therefore, prints located in your bath/shower room would be best if printed on canvas to prevent waves in the print.  The pigment ink that we used is guaranteed not to fade for 200 years in indirect lighting; however, when kept in direct sunlight, the photo may begin fading in as early as one year.

Can you ship my enlargement to me?

Yes, we provide shipping via UPS of your enlargement.  Our shipping rate is only $9.95 per order regardless of size and quantity.  All enlargements are carefully packaged to ensure you receive your enlargement without damage.  See our refund policy regarding shipping damage.

What is your refund policy?

MakeYourPhotosBig.com will replace products that are damaged or defective due to shipping. MakeYourPhotosBig.com artwork is custom made from your photos and are not returnable. All sales are final.  If any product is damaged when you receive it, please e-mail or call us within 3 business days. We will request that you repack it similar to the way you received it. We will then arrange pick up from you within a few days, and we will repair or replace it once we receive it. There will be no additional charges associated.  Your complete satisfaction is our priority.
