- What is a Gallery Wrapped Print?

Similar to the way an artist will stretch a canvas over a wood frame, your photo is printed on canvas and stretched over a special frame designed for gallery wrapped prints. The Gallery Wrapped Print gives your enlargements an artistic appearance to your photos that does not need any additional framing and is ready to hang on the wall.
- Why do you print on canvas?

The idea behind canvas is three part:
1. Durability Canvas will not tear or puncture easily unlike paper and other mediums. It can take the abuse and still look great.
2. Suitability Not everyone displays their enlargements at 70 degrees with minimal humidity. You can feel confident knowing that a canvas placed in a humid bathroom will not wrinkle or distort.
3. Appearance Canvas just plain looks good. Its texture lends itself to a softer, more artistic appearance.
- How long will the enlargement last?

We use only high quality HP Vivera pigment ink when reproducing your photos. This ink is water resistant and guaranteed not to fade for 100 years when not kept in direct sunlight. All of our canvases are also sprayed with a semigloss UV inhibitor that increases longevity of the color and adds brilliance to the colors. A second sealant is applied to protect the canvas from scratches and the occasional bump or rub.
- Do digital or original photos work best?

They both work great. When supplying us with your digital photo, make sure your camera is set to the highest quality setting to ensure maximum resolution of your photo. Usually 4 megapixel cameras or higher are sufficient for most enlargements sizes. Not sure if your photo is high enough resolution? Send us your photo and we will let you know how big it can be enlarged before it becomes too distorted. Your original photos are scanned in at 1200 dpi to ensure optimal results even for our largest enlargements.
- Can I manipulate my own photos?

We welcome photos or art that you have created, manipulated, and/or adjusted with your own graphics software. Please save your file to the highest possible resolution and save as either a .tiff or .jpeg file.
- How do I send my photos to you?

There are two ways you can send your photos to us. The first is by e-mail to bigphotos@centurytel.net. The second is to send your original photos or digital photos on CD by mail to Make Your Photos Big, 6125 Cty Hwy, Tomah, WI 54660. Your original photos will be returned to you with your completed order.
- Does it have to be a photo I took?

It will be assumed that if you are sending MakeYourPhotosBig.com a photo for reproduction that you either originally took the photo, own rights to the photo, or that you have written permission from the person that has the rights to the photo. MakeYourPhotosBig.com takes no responsibility for individuals who request reproduction of photos that they do not have rights to. However, if you are a photographer and believe that a customer of MakeYourPhotosBig.com has reproduced a photo without proper permission, please contact us immediately so that we can prevent further reproductions from occurring.
- How do I keep my photo clean and dust free?

Since gallery wrap prints are not covered by glass, we are often asked how to keep the prints clean and dust free. While we do not recommend using any cleaners or solvents, our customers have had excellent success with the dry electrostatic cleaners such as the Dry Swiffer Wand.
- Where is the best place to display my enlargement?

The pigment ink that we used is guaranteed not to fade for 200 years in indirect lighting; however, when kept in direct sunlight, the photo may begin fading in as early as one year. Feel free to display your photos in high humidity environments such as bathrooms. The properties of canvas allow it to hold up very well in a variety of indoor climates.
- Can you ship my enlargement to me?

Yes, we provide shipping via UPS or USPS of your enlargement. Our shipping rate is 8.5% of your order total with a minimum of $8.50. All enlargements are carefully packaged to ensure you receive your enlargement without damage. See our refund policy regarding shipping damage.
- How do I order a special design effect not listed on your website?

We handle special requests all of the time and will be happy to accommodate. The six design effects shown on our website are available free of charge. If you would like a different design effect, incorporate several photos into one, combine a variety of elements into a single design, remove backgrounds, or any other type of advanced design, simply add Premium Design Effect to your shopping cart for each design you need made. The Premium Design Effect can be added to your shopping cart by visiting the Free Design Effects section of our site.
